My name is Rob and I like to build things, break things, and rebuild things. I’ve been doing this since I was a kid and will do it until I die. I originally went to school for Industrial Design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, but my teachers informed me that the program wasn’t going to prepare me to design cars. I left and decided that Computer Science would be appropriate since I’ve always worked on them. I built my first website in 1997. It was an angelfire special with a midi in the background and no real direction. Things have changed a bit since then.

I currently work in the healthcare/insurance/clearinghouse industry handling sensitive data. My primary tools are PHP, postgres, and javascript/jQuery. My passion, in the office, is for developing fluid, easy to understand, user interfaces. I also enjoy data presentation with interactive elements. Everybody loves data presented in an easily consumable design.

My passions outside of work include racing, sharks, and food. I love going fast. I discovered this at 140mph in a 1990 Acura Integra, 4 door automatic. The transmission needed replaced a few minutes later. I’m now a member of the Porsche Club of America, but i drive a Mustang. Their driver’s education program is top notch. I’ve loved sharks since I was a kid as well. I have tentative plans to hop in a shark cage and check out some great whites up close and personal. And when it comes to food, I’ll eat it all. Houston Texas has an awesome array of restaurants.
